Titolo articolo: La folla delinquente e degenerata nella novellistica dannunziana, all’ombra di Nordau e Sighele

Nordau, Sighele and d’Annunzio, in their works, have considered the psychology of the crowd, especially when it is the protagonist of violent riots. Everyone believes that mass violence derives from the tendency of individuals to commit crimes when they are part of the crowd. This is confirmed by d’Annunzio’s novelistic production, especially in the Novelle della Pescara. Gli idolatri and La morte del duca d’Ofena are especially relevant here.

Titolo articolo: Studio del vero, scienza e magismo. Nota critica su alcune dichiarazioni di poetica e sul lessico del giovane d’Annunzio

In d’Annunzio’s youthful art chronicle, a tribute to his mentor Michetti should be noted, but also a completely personal position in configuring a conceptual lexicon relating to the fine arts. The young d’Annunzio probably enunciated some positions that would be clearly expressed a few years later: in that the idea of an art began to emerge based on an original positivistic formation – the “study of truth” – be it figurative art or of writing, which should have turned to ‘original’ sources: a poetics of correspondences which had largely surpassed any naturalistic vision of the “True”.

Titolo articolo: Rappresentare i pensieri. Statue inquiete nel teatro di Gabriele d’Annunzio

The presence of statues in two of d’Annunzio’s tragedies (La Gioconda and La figlia di Jorio) will be analysed, proposing a comparison between examples of ‘living statues’ from ancient times and the late nineteenth‐early twentieth century period. In the second part, reference will be made to the scientist culture of the late nineteenth century. Here, we will make use of a theory according to which they could be two fetishes that direct the flow of thoughts of the protagonists against their opponents.

Titolo articolo: Realtà e magia in Sogno d’un tramonto d’autunno (1898) di Gabriele d’Annunzio

The article intends to propose a reflection on the relationship between reality and magic in Gabriele d’Annunzio’s Sogno d’un tramonto d’autunno, published in 1898 and staged in 1905. The magical action, in fact, far from being merely a narrative expedient, lends dynamics to a theatrical text in which the action tends to be off‐stage, and enhances the dreamlike dimension in which the story is set.

Titolo articolo: Statue e dipinti nel Poema paradisiaco

Within the poetic imagery that takes shape in the Poema paradisiaco, painting and sculpture echo with particular prominence in numerous texts, thickening especially in the second section of the collection, Hortus larvarum. The aim of this presentation is to analyse the different nuances and poetic-literary function possessed by pictorial and sculptural images in a work in which the lesson of classical myth and the pre-Raphaelite artists’ canvases is modelled in a symbolic-decadent key by d’Annunzio’s admirable art of the word.

Titolo articolo: D’Annunzio artefice in San Michele in Isola

This essay presents Gabriele d’Annunzio’s contributions at the Venetian cemetery between 1916 and 1922. Despite what is normally believed, the poet did not merely dictate epigraphs to be carved on gravestones, but even designed some funerary monuments, personally overseeing their execution and sometimes covering the costs.

Titolo articolo: Notturno a Lugano. L’effetto d’Annunzio nel sistema Morselli

The article informs about some contiguities between Un dramma borghese by Guido Morselli and Notturno by Gabriele d’Annunzio, postulating the hypothesis that a certain annoyance towards a monologuing narrative form already tried by d’Annunzio also contributed to the editorial rejection of the text in the 1960s.
